What Others Are Saying…

“Why Christians Should Tithe” comes at a critical time in the history of the Church, where there’s a barrage of emerging views that could confuse many about God’s plan for economic and spiritual blessings. Felix systematically and relevantly takes us on a journey through the Old and New Testament scriptures where she shows the value and necessity of obeying the principle of God to bring all the tithes into the storehouse.

What is particularly intriguing in this book is the central discussion of tithing from the perspective of the book of Hebrews, the 7th Chapter. This chapter delves into the contrasting aspects of the priesthoods, both anchored in the priesthood of Melchizedek, rather than solely focusing on the Mosaic law, which is typically the focal point of debates surrounding tithing. The argument presented in Matthew 23:23, where Jesus appears not to condemn but rather endorse tithing, is irrefutable. Some interpret this within the context of Christ operating under the Mosaic law at that time, while others argue the continuity of tithing in subsequent priesthood or covenantal system and era of grace. This book recommends tithing and elucidates its associated benefits without magnifying the tithes above Jesus Christ, who as she states is the embodiment and ultimate tithe of God.
