This book is the work of the Holy Spirit that commenced as a question in a WhatsApp Bible Study group, ‘Should Christians Tithe’? The response was a flurry of varied perspectives that unveiled that there were different categories of Tithers. The diverse perspectives and arguments that ensued augmented that this was a highly sensitive topic that necessitated diligent research and inquiry from God.
This literature would be non-existent if Jesus Christ did not say, “…you should tithe, yes …” (Matthew 23:23b, NLT). I presented this scripture to the LORD and received revelation and insight with biblical proof for contemporary tithing. Jesus Christ, the fulfillment of the Law, endorsed the principle of the tithe in the New Testament. Therefore, theological evidence in the Bible was meticulously examined and evaluated for their relevance to this topic, in collaboration with the Holy Spirit of Truth. There are no biblical restrictions, or arguments against tithing, before, during or after the Mosaic law. Human logic has led to various interpretations and reasonings in attempts to ‘connect the dots,’ in the absence of the physical Temple in Jerusalem, and fulfillment of the Law, through Jesus Christ.
Tithes existed before, during and after the Law. This book examines the significance and relevance of these occurrences to understand God’s intent. It provides introspection and understanding of connected and underlying principles. Illustrates the attribute of the tithes as the physical connector to God’s covenant blessing with Abraham, and his seed. Depicts the Judeo-Christian connection as it relates to the tithe and change in priesthood and augments the essential fundament of tithes as a spiritual sacrifice. And homage God prefers as Creator, through His final High Priest (Hebrews 8:3 and Leviticus 27:30).
